J.Wail Live Band ft. Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band) + members of Twiddle & Particle

seasoned electro-funk all-star assemblage jam band

J.Wail, a seasoned electro-funk auteur from the jam band universe, presents the J.Wail Live Band at the Drake, an all-star assemblage of musicians from well-loved bands who have come together for the “Fall FunkDown Tour.” They include Natalie Cressman (Trey Ansastasio Band), Ryan Dempsey (Twiddle) and Kito B. (Particle) among others. J.WAIL’s prior collaborations include heavyweights like Vince Herman (Leftover Salmon), David Murphy (STS9), Michael Travis and Jason Hann (EOTO/String Cheese Incident), and Dean Ween (Ween). Showcasing his consistent appetite for experimentation and collaboration, the band promises to get you dancing melding funk, electronic beats, and live instrumentation to propel mind, soul, and booty into the outer limits. Guests are encouraged to dress in their finest “Wailien” attire.

It is the dawn of an age of digital wizardry and in this modern era gadgets seem to surge in song, congealing in an amalgamation of buzzes, beeps and blips. The pulsing of machines and pounding of concrete and steel in symphonic collage power our world. J.WAIL along with a SPECIAL GUEST LIVE BAND rise to the call of the sonic traffic controller, poised behind a palette of electronic devices, guitar, bass, keys, live drums and percussion. The dance floor becomes the launch pad where live instrumentation with organic electronic music propel the mind, soul and booty into the upper stratosphere of sound into a blissful ball of euphoria.

J.WAIL’s tours have logged countless road miles with hundreds of club/theater dates and festivals performed on all corners of North America. J.WAIL’s ability to experiment and improvise has led to collaborations with some prominent musicians including Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon, members of Lotus, David Murphy (STS9),  Michael Travis and Jason Hann (EOTO/String Cheese Incident), Dean Ween (Ween), Brock Butler (Perpetual Groove) and many more.

J.WAIL's unique styles and techniques infused with the Live Band leave the audience with a healthy dose of live electro funk euphoria, only good enough until the next show!
