Songwriter Series: Jake William Capistran, Arden Lloyd, Eric Lee

An evening of original music from 3 acclaimed singer songwriters.

Jake William Capistran is a Portland-based singer and multi-instrumentalist whose unique blend of folk, rock, and soul can be heard up and down the west coast. Featuring the simple accompaniment of an acoustic guitar or piano, or the support of his [up to eight-piece] backing band, Capistran's live-performances are as dynamic as his records, spanning the distance from bombastic pop to intimate singer-songwriter.

Hailing from Massachusetts, Jake cut his teeth in the Boston music scene fronting the heavy-hitting five-piece Geometrist until relocating to Portland, Oregon in 2015.

His first release under his own name, 2016's GONERS EP, racked up over 200,000 plays in the year of its release. His 2017 follow-up, the RODEO EP, was featured in Portland's VORTEX magazine along with a live, in-studio video for his breakout single, Goners.

In November 2019 Jake released his debut full-length album, All Things Human.

Arden Lloyd is a singer-songwriter originally from Amherst, MA, and is currently studying at Northeastern University. At age 12, she began developing her musical voice writing acoustic songs on guitar and piano. After joining her high school's jazz band in 10th grade as a trumpeter and vocalist, she became deeply interested in music and different genres. Last year, she started exploring using music production software which enables her to incorporate elements of jazz and experimental music with pop and folk. In 2020, she won the National YoungArts Competition in the Voice: Singer-Songwriter category, and was named a 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, one of 20 in the nation. She released her debut EP of folk-centric songs, This Moment, on November 12, 2021.
