Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Booker T. Jones's band (where he was part of a guitar-duo with Marc Ford), Troy Gonyea is a distinguished and respected Blues guitarist and general maniac.
Troy Gonyea’s remarkable musical journey as a distinguished guitarist/sideman has earned him the inheritance of deep roots blues. He has played guitar with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame member Booker T. Jones (Booker T and the MGs), Marc Ford (The Black Crowes/Ben Harper/Magpie Salute), Kirk Fletcher, Sugar Ray and The Bluetones, Chicago Blues greats Hubert Sumlin, Billy Boy Arnold and members of The Muddy Waters Band and many more. He has played on two Grammy nominated albums, was up for a Boston Music Award, and is the only two-time recipient of the highly coveted Brinston Award (2018, 2020).
As a bandleader, singer, guitarist, and songwriter Troy has released a live album, Click Click Spark. He has recently finished recording his debut studio album, Send a Midnight Signal.
