The Happy Valley Guitar Orchestra is an avant-garde community music ensemble with a mission to bring all kinds of guitar players together to explore great music. Based in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts and led by Artistic Director Joseph Ricker the HVGO have delighted and surprised audiences since 2009 with their unique and revelatory performances. Their repertoire consists of arrangements made for the HVGO by Ricker of music from a variety of genres and traditions. Their current program features the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, Masato Nakamura's scores from Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, a grand orchestral rendering of the Beatles' Dear Prudence and more.
